i have found the product which can replace bleach.

it is a powder. mix a few tablespoons in a spray bottle with water and use it when you need to.

i am using it on my refrigerator door handles which are white and made of a textured material.

usually i clean the fridge and these handles are a dull accompaniment to my shining box.

but today all the gray was removed.
