excellent snow thing... some jackass will call it a "phallic symbol" but remembering quite clearly what it was like to be a boy i think they were probably just trying to build it as tall as they could. for the simple joy of doing it. love love to you jen. august
i totally agree, they were just seeing how tall they could make it. they also practice their skateboard moves, ride their bikes, and listen to baseball on the radio while they sit on the porch. i get great pleasure out of their lives unfolding around me. love love love to you as well!

It's indeed a phallic symbol for all of us, even if the boys were just trying to build it "as tall as they could".
Nothing more essentially male and virile than trying to build something "as tall as they could".
Which makes it, energetically, abstractly if not concretely, a symbol of the male aspirational drive, or reductively: a phallic symbol!
